Celebrating the 100th birthday of Ivy
Today we are here celebrating the 100th birthday of Ivy. She is a local resident of Fayettville, Arkansas. Ivy has been super healthy throughout her life. She has been happily married for over 70 years. She was around 30 while he was a little over 28 years old. You might have heard her name over the T.V. or other communication systems, she was a very successful lawyer for over 20 years. She has won over 100 cases and now she is retired with a fair amount of money. Also, for years she has been fighting the death penalty. She has been an activist for peace around the world. She says World War 3 was one the U.S's biggest mistake. She has also been fighting for equal rights for everyone and equal pay for women. Now her husband stands by her as she blows out the candle on her birthday cake.
She has a very big family. She and her husband had three children, two girls and one boy. She has five grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. That's plenty people to share this birthday party with. First they invite all her friends to come and surprise her as they step out the front door. Then they go done the rode to the bookstore each of her children buy her a book. " She has loved reading ever since she was a little kid" ,says her husband, " Her mother once told me that she started to read at four." After the bookstore they take her to lunch. Then to buy the new tablet (her husband's gift). Then they went home. the friends had not come on the little trip they were busy making the party. As were the grandchildren and their kids. The party was amazing. Of course it was quieter than any 20 year old's, but Ivy seemed to have fun. After everybody left her and her husband had a quiet night they spent together. Ivy was reading books while her husband was trying to figure out the new tablet.
